Obituary of Joan L. Gaudino

Greece - Joan L. Gaudino, age 95, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2025. A devoted mother, beloved family member, and loyal friend, Joan shared her warmth and kindness with everyone lucky enough to know her.

She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony Gaudino (2022); her brother, Anthony Contino; and her sister, Ann. Joan is survived by her loving sons, Danny Gaudino, Anthony Gaudino, and Gerald & Jennifer Gaudino; her step-granddaughter, Cicelia; her brother-in-law, Pete; as well as extended family and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

Joanie worked as an accountant in the financial department of Eastman Kodak Company for 20 years taking care of her family while also being leader of the household. She was a devoted mother and wife, raising three beautiful boys.

Outside of work, Joan’s passions always centered around joy and togetherness. She was an enthusiastic baker and cook, delighting family and friends with favorite recipes. She loved to roller skate and dance — especially at the Stardust Room — where she found music, movement, and laughter. She loved to play the penny slots at various casinos. She and her husband volunteered at nursing homes for events such as bingo, etc., where Anthony was often a bingo caller. Her faith anchored her life, and she remained committed to her church community. Above all, Joan treasured time spent with her family.

Family and friends are invited to call from 4 - 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, 735 East Avenue in Hilton.

Joan’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 3003 Dewey Ave, Rochester, NY 14616. Entombment will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
