Obituary of Bonnie B Hafner
Hilton - Bonnie B. (Shufelt) Hafner passed away on April 16, 2026 at the age of 83. She was predeceased by her first husband, Ronald Shufelt; her parents, George and Lillian Barrett; her brother, George Barrett; her sister, Joyce Osburn; and her daughter-in-law, Alexis Shufelt. She is survived by her beloved husband, Roy H. Hafner; 6 children, Sandy (Paul) Koch, Ronald Shufelt, Robert (Karen) Shufelt, Sharon Paige, Debra (Keith) Bane, and Roy (Tanya) Hafner Jr.; 8 grandchildren, Lisa (Michael) Silverstein, Kristen Koch, Megan (Kyle) Derry, Chelsy (Clint) Kelsey, Nicholas Hodge, Colby Hodge, Harmony Hafner, and Robby Stevenson; 2 great-grandchildren, Vivian and Leo; her sister, Betty (Raymond) Meier; and her loving nieces and nephews.
Bonnie dedicated 15 years as a school bus driver for the Hilton Central School District, where she was a familiar and friendly presence to the many students she safely transported each day. She found great joy in life’s simple pleasures—especially her trips to the sunny beaches of Florida, quiet moments spent bird watching, and outings going shopping. Above all, Bonnie cherished time with her children and grandchildren, taking immense pride in watching them grow and experience life, creating memories that will be forever treasured. She was deeply loved and will be truly missed.
Friends are invited to call on Friday, April 24, 2026 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., 735 East Avenue, Hilton, NY 14468. Bonnie's Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 10:30 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 158 East Avenue, Hilton, NY 14468. Interment will take place in Parma Union Cemetery.
