Obituary of Werner B. Preissing

Hilton - Werner Bruno Preissing was Born on February 26, 1935 and died on December 15, 2021 at the age of 86.  He was predeceased by his parents, Bruno and Martha Preissing; by his sister & brother-in-law, Peggy (Russell) Thayer; and by his devoted wife of 58 years, JoAnne Brownlee Preissing.  He is survived by his son, Bill (Cathie) Preissing, and his daughter, Lynne (Corey) Lincourt; his grandchildren, Jessica, Paige, Mallory and Derek; and by his nieces & nephews.

Werner taught high school Earth Science in the Greece Central School District for many years.  He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting deer, duck and pheasant with the aid of one of his trusted German short-haired pointers, Jagar, Blitzen or Missy.  He belonged to Ducks Unlimited, the Northstar Sportsman's Club and the Garbutt Fly Fishing Club.  He enjoyed a good book, a good meal and watching his beloved Buffalo Bills.  

Family and friends are invited to attend Werner's Memorial Service on Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, 735 East Ave., Hilton.  Interment to follow in Parma Union Cemetery.
