Obituary of Carolyn Miller

Rochester - Carolyn K. Miller passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at the age of 82;  the beloved mother of her son, Donald (Camella) Miller; and her daughter, Debi (Rich) Lipani; loving grandmother to grandchildren, Jason (Erynn) Miller, Stacey Miller, Ricky Lipani and Joey Lipani; and great grandchildren, Alyssa, Lexie, Haley and Jackson. She was predeceased by her sisters, Janice LaFave and Lynette Mambretti. She is also survived by her sisters, Barbara (Ron) King and Joyce (Ron) Willard; her brothers-in-law, Ken LaFave and Dick Mambretti; her daughter-in-law, Kathy Miller; several nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends.

Carolyn was the definition of strength, resilience, determination and independence. Besides her family, her proudest accomplishment was earning a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in counseling from SUNY Brockport. She was an outstanding counselor throughout her career and retired from the Facit Division of the Rochester City Police Department. Carolyn lived her life to the fullest. She loved family time, reading, water walking and traveling, including trips to Argentina, Russia, Mexico, Florida and a Mediterranean cruise. Her tradition of annual family camping trips to Allegany State Park was the highlight of our summers. There we experienced Mom's wealth of knowledge of the outdoors and went on "Grandma adventures". This will be one of her many legacies. Carolyn was an amazing, caring and loving woman who truly touched every person she met. She will be forever loved and greatly missed.
