Lemcke Family...I am so very sorry to hear of your loss, Uncle Red was such a special man...he was my friend and hero...he thought and did things different and did it all with love...many times he had rescued me from school no ride home...he was so full of love and energy...he will be missed ...

I remember so many things about the times I spent with Red and Barb. The one that comes to mine is every September the slip and slide Red just love doing that for the kids as he was the biggest kid of all. He would go down the slide and then run up the hill to go down again. He would do that for 3 days. Red I hope that there is a slip and slide up in heaven and you are running up the hill to go down again. You will be miss for a long time

There are many great memories about Red. Red was also my bus driver back in the mid fifties. When I was In first grade, I didn’t want to go to school so when we were almost to the school I would tell Red that I had a belly ache and he would take me back home. This went on for awhile until my mom told Red not to bring me home anymore. I sure did appreciate it though.

Being down at the ‘Lemcke farm’ was my most favorite place to be, I started renting a horse quite regularly until I got my own. Red was always there to help out with any horse problems that occurred. So thankful for all his expertise. They were all like a second family to me. Later on I married Donn, and I became a ‘cousin’ as well. I have wonderful memories, that I’ll cherish forever. Red, you will always have a special place in my heart ❤️ RIP

Condolences from the Bourey family to the Lemke family. Red was one of the truly good men in our little town. He was kind, helpful, and always seemed to have a good word for everyone.

Back many years ago when I was working nights, my car broke down at 2:00 am on the Keeler Street Expressway. Who dod I call ‘Uncle Red’, without hesitation he hooked up his flat bed trailer and was there in no time. He was always there for me, we helped each other out. He will never be forgotten. We will meet again when I cross over that rainbow bridge. I love you Unc, thanks for all the wonderful memories, Donn RIP

Jo, Jane,Rickand Mike you're Dad was a wonderful friend and neighbor. When I was little our garage door blew open in a wind storm, causing the north wall to detach. Red came with his tractor and pushed the wall back into

position, so that it could be secured. On Honor flight Red and my Dad were happy to be together Red and I got to talking he told me about the "cabin in the woods" behind my parents home, and why it was built! Red was a Hilton Institution Thank you Red for encouraging my love for horses!!
