Obituary of Matthew Scott Ciurca

Hamlin - Matthew Scott Ciurca passed away on January 30, 2024 at the age of 51. He was predeceased by his father, Anthony Ciurca. He is survived by his mother, Karen Ciurca; his wife, Stephanie; his daughters, Merranda Ciurca and Brittanee Ciurca; his granddaughter, Blakeli; his brother, Mark Ciurca; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gary (Diane) Synder; his brother-in-law, Eric Synder; his sister-in-law, Laurie (Rusty) MacAllister; his Aunt, Marge LaGeer; his nephew, Evan; his niece, Sara; and his cousin, Michelle Bullard.

Matthew was employed by Röchling Medical Group of Rochester NY, where he worked as a Mold Maker. In his leisure, he enjoyed watching college football and cheering on his favorite team the Michigan Wolverines, smoking on his Green Egg, hunting, fishing, drinking Mich Ultra’s, sipping his Jim Beam, watching Gold Rush, and being with his girls. Matthew loved being a grandpa. He was always about his friends. He will be deeply missed.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, February 9, 2024 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., 735 East Avenue, Hilton. Those wishing may attend a gathering in Matthew's memory on Friday, February 9th at the Hilton Exempt Club, 137 South Avenue in Hilton. The cash bar will open at 6:30 pm followed by dinner at 7:30 pm. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
