hello my friend. it was a joy crossing paths with you and getting to know you. i just learned today upon returning to work that you left us in July, and my gosh matthew this one hit me hard. i'm proud of you for the love you insisted on carrying even through very rough times. rest easy buddy. we will not drop your smile.

Matthew, may you now rest in peace. I was there before, during and after you were born for your Mom and I am here now in the end for her. I can't find the picture of you and I at your first birthday, and if I never do, it is embedded in my mind. And I have to giggle when I think of the time Brooke and I came to visit, you took one look at her and sat right down at the table. I have heard and now read so many great stories about you of the kind soul you were. You are an Angel now and I know, with no doubt, you will do great things in heaven. My brother was one of a kind and our love for each other was deeper than blood; it was a bond we forged throughout our lives. He could always make me laugh and he always always made sure I knew I was loved. He was like that with everyone. I am picturing him right now as a 4yr old in shorts that were so baggy he would dance around doing the hula dance. He was so full of life. I'm going to miss you Matty, sissy loves you.
