Obituary of Charles and Kathleen Holler

Charles Edward Holler Jr., 79 (1945 - 2024) and Kathleen Rose Holler, 78 (1946 - 2024)

Charles Edward Holler Jr.,  79, of Thomson, (McDuffie County), Georgia entered into eternal rest on December 3, 2024. 

He was born May 6, 1945 and raised in Rochester, New York, and lived most of his life in Hamlin, New York before retiring and moving to Thomson, Georgia. Charles enjoyed golfing, hunting, baking, and spending time with family and friends.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Edward Holler, Sr. and Grace McKee Holler; his mother-in-law, Bernadette O’May; his siblings, Steven Holler, Larry Holler, and Betty Campling; his sons, Charles Thomas Holler and Andrew O’May; and his grandson, Jeffrey Anderson.   

At the time of Charles' death, he was survived by his wife of 60 years, Kathleen. His other survivors include his siblings, Dave Holler (Helen), Gary Holler (Grace), Bonnie Rhoads (Dave), Mark Holler, and Karen Whiteside (Don); his children, Joseph O’May (Cindy), Dale Holler (Anne Marie), Jackie Holler (Chuck), Stephen Holler (Carrie), Stacey Anderson, and Hope Rogers. Charles had 14 grandchildren; Michael Holler, Ashley Hinckley (Joshua), Keylee Gilfilian, Charlie Holler, Tyler Holler, Stephanie Lewis (Aaron), Jillian Ochoa (Junior), Samantha Anderson, Ryan Holler, Melissa Wenzel (Don), Timmy O’May, James O’May, Joshua O’May, and Tanner Newman (Shanna). He had 19 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews whom he affectionately loved.

Kathleen Rose Holler, 78, of Thomson, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on December 28, 2024.

She was born August 14, 1946 and raised in Rochester, New York, and lived most of her life in Hamlin, New York before retiring and moving to Thomson, Georgia. Kathy enjoyed reading, playing computer games/cards, reading her Bible, praying for others, and spending time with family and friends.

Kathy was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Charles Holler; her parents, Thomas O’May and Bernadette O’May; her siblings, James O’May, Patricia Kinmond, Lillian Cimo, Mirriam Schubmehl, and Bonnie Van Ooyen; her sons, Charles Thomas Holler and Andrew O’May; and her grandson, Jeffrey Anderson.   

Kathy’s survivors include her siblings; Michael O’May (Cindi), Brenda Crye (Chris), David O’May (Shirley), and Thomas O’May (Arlene); her children, Joseph O’May (Cindy), Dale Holler (Anne Marie), Jackie Holler (Chuck), Stephen Holler (Carrie), Stacey Anderson, and Hope Rogers. Visitation for Charles and Kathleen has been planned for Saturday, January 11, 2025 from 12 - 2:00 p.m. at Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, 735 East Avenue in Hilton, New York, where a Memorial Service will take place at 2:00 pm.
