Growing up on West Avenue in Hilton, in the 40's and 50's, the Birch family lived 3 doors away from my family, so I have had the privilege of knowing John my whole life. He was a couple of years younger than I, very likable, and never outgrew his personality. He will be missed. God Speed My Friend.
