Obituary of John R. Burch

Hilton - John R. Burch passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at the age of 76.  He was predeceased by his parents, Benjamin and Elizabeth Burch; his brother, Henry "Hale" Burch; and his wife, Virginia "Ginny" Burch in 2009.  He is survived by his wife, Lynn Allessi-Burch; his children, Benjamin, John (Andrea) Yunger, Rebecca (Brian) LoPiccolo, Justin (Christina) Yunger, Bayard (Gwendolyn) Burch, Jaclyn (Daniel) Ziazadeh, Kyle Thoresen and Kelsy Allessi; his 19 grandchildren; his brothers, Fred (Barb) Burch and James (Lori) Burch; and several nieces and nephews.

John was the owner/operator of Burch Farms in Hilton.  He was also a retiree of the Village of Hilton, where he worked for over 20 years as the Village Mechanic. John was a Board Member of Oak Orchard Community Health Center, Inc., he served on the Farm Bureau, and he was a member of the Rochester Curling Club. He enjoyed working on his farm and in the barn.  He also enjoyed attending his children's soccer games and cheering them on. He loved hunting, target practice, and watching the Rhinos.  

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, May 20, 2022 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, 735 East Avenue, Hilton, NY 14468.  Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
